Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier by Lux-Laterna Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier by Lux-Laterna
Alas, my winter cosplay: Bucky Barnes.

Of course, most of us know him in his "Winter Soldier" outfit, with "The arm", and although I was going to make that version, Bucky is still always going to be in this outfit in my mind: Captain America's original best friend - who prevails in the end.

It was quite the adventure today in 4 feet of snow!

I love the jacket! Your cosplay has really gotten me through making my own Bucky!
I have two important questions though! Where did you get the little pouches on the belt? I've been looking at stores all over for them! Secondly, what do you call the golden knobs on the coat? I really still need some, but of course I need to know what they are!

Army store for the belt. I merely altered one I picked up.
The gold knobs are buttons. Make sure you cut slits in your fabric and sew the buttons to a new piece in behind so they are set in and don't flop.

Make sure to show me when you're done! I'd love to see.

Thank you so much! This has helped so greatly! We're going to look for buttons like that tomorrow, and when we are finished I'll be sure to take a picture of the finished costume for you!

sorry! I've totally forgotten to take pictures since I finished! Any good pictures anyway, but let me find some quick ones taken of me at Halloween!

I followed your costume design and a few others on deviantART that I was able to find and see, even got the gun, belt and boots! The mask I had more trouble with, I made it with Sculpy and used spirit gum to keep it to my face, but was never able to sculpt it quite symmetrically! I wore it to a local comic book gathering too, I had quite a lot of people recognize who the character was so that's a success!
Other than that I'm still a huge fan of how brilliant yours was
